AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD BREEDER IN DUNN, NORTH CAROLINA
We are The Kelly's, Jordyn & Josh!
We started this dream four years ago, shortly after we started dating. As avid animal-lovers we both fell in love with the Australian Shepherd breed. Josh had Wyatt, an 8-month old pup when we first started dating and we shortly added Piper to our lives.
Our dogs are as big a part of our lives as kids would be if we had any! They go with us whenever they can and have been a part of the biggest moments in our life, like our engagement photos and our wedding. We cherish their presence in our lives and only want to find families who cherish their puppies the same.
We love the Australian Shepherd for their awesome personalities, silliness, loyalty, versatility and love for life. We started a small homestead in early fall 2019 and everyone has adapted so well to country life and all of the new, strange animals that come with it! We are working towards competing with our dogs and have big plans for them in the future for not only the fun and bonding that takes place but also titling our dogs in agility, stock dog trials and possibly rally and dock diving.
Their addition to our lives and the joy they bring us has been unmeasurable and I can only pray that our puppies do the same for their new families. Our dogs stay in the house when we are gone for work and enjoy the outdoors when we are home. They are pretty much glued to our sides and we like it that way. We do not have an outdoor kennel so the puppies are raised inside with us.

OUR WEDDING JUNE 2018
Wyatt Thatcher Kelly TKN
Wyatt is currently our only intact male in our program. He is red factored and has produced every color in his litters. Wyatt loves long walks on the beach, hiking any and all trails, swimming in the ocean, and a good session of fetch. He is the epitome of man's best friend and you can always find him at Josh's side.
As per Aussie personality, Wyatt can be particular with a love for everyone but also likes his space when he has had enough love for the time being. Lots of drive and desire to work with a great off switch for inside activities. Always happy to help supervise though is known for sleeping on the job!
Wyatt is currently in a guardian home with Josh's parents in Virginia.
Wyatt's Piper Hope Kelly CGC
Piper is our wonderful Momma for our program. She is a well-rounded, incredibly social and smart girl. She loves absolutely everyone she meets and will vocally sing about being loved on. Since her first litter, Piper's motherly instincts go above and beyond as she loves all things baby no matter the species.
She keeps herself active and trim and is always down to go for a run or hike. This girl is eager to please and loves working along side you no matter what you are doing. She is our happy-go-lucky girl and she passes that sweet disposition onto the babies she produces.
BONNIE BLUE FORCE AWAKENS By Kelly's Rey CGC TKI JHDs HTADIs
Rey joined our pack in 2020 as the next chapter in our program.
We are excited for her addition as a prospect for our program as well as the new chapter she offers. Rey comes from fabulous working lines including Freestyle, Hangin Tree and Fairoaks. We have big plans for Rey and we are enjoying having a puppy in our home again.
Prior to her first birthday, she has obtained both her Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Novice titles. She is started in herding and we brought home her Junior Herding Dog on sheep title from the AHBA December 2021 trial at Middle Tree Farm. Both judges had such nice complements about her temperament and potential.
Rey obtained her HTAD level 1 sheep title in April 2022 at the AHBA trial help at Middle Tree Farm. She placed first on sheep on the first day and third on geese, earning one leg of her HTAD1geese title. She placed third on sheep on the second day, bringing home 3 Q's and a new title. We look forward to her continued herding success.
She obtained her Trick Dog Intermediate title in May of 2022.
Our ALTERED DOGS
While we do have a small breeding program, we are also passionate about supporting rescues as well.
We are fosters for an organization called Save Our Herders Outreach, which specializes in herding breed dogs. Their goal is to keep these dogs out of shelters and in foster homes who understand that herding breed dogs don't do well in shelters. Our girl, Juniper, was our second foster dog through SOHO and in December 2019, we officially adopted her. She is a deaf, double-merle Australian Shepherd but doesn't let her disability rule her life and fits in with our pack.
Trooper, our newest addition, was born in June 2021 after an accidental breeding leaving him both deaf and with some vision impairment. We heard of him through someone we went to college with and felt called to give him a home. He's a smart, loving little boy and we love his addition to our home.
Finn and Pine are altered brothers from our first litter and love being our companions in life. We have plans to continue Finn's training in adding some titles in both trick training and rally. He obtained his Trick Dog Novice Title in March 2022 and his Trick Dog Intermediate title in May of 2022. Though we also plan for a future in herding or dock diving as well.
