Asour program has evolved and changed over the past few years, we have needed to set the foundation for our values and what we strive for in our breeding program. We value our dogs above all else; they are a huge part of our lives not only with daily activities but also our lifestyle in general. We value the breed as it is, a versatile, loyal, true-grit type of dog. No matter what we are doing, our dogs are always there for it. Our companions in life who are there for our best moments as well as our lowest.

From day one, we put our all into our puppies. We ensure our females are healthy and ready even before breeding and then ensure they continue gaining to support healthy puppies during pregnancy. Once puppies are born we begin using Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction at three days of age until sixteen days of age. We also follow Puppy Culture as well as Avidog and include novelty items as well as a variety of surfaces for them to experience at a young age. Once eyes and ears are open we begin introducing various soundtracks that include city sounds, thunder storms, construction, sounds of laughter and crying, as well as introducing them to various handling. We include baths and nail trims as well as blow drying to help our puppies become accustomed to regular grooming.

A few other items we work on with our puppies include learning to choose better chew options, kennel training, leash introduction, basic manners and help monitor proper play etiquette. We socialize our puppies with our adult dogs, our cats, chickens, goose, rabbits, pigs and goats. As we have working to include more socializing into our program, we strive to have all of our puppies interact with 75-100 people ranging in ages from young children to elderly adults before they turn 10 weeks of age. We have partnered with Bradley's Yoga and Fitness yoga studio in Holly Springs, NC to offer a mutually beneficial class of Yoga with Puppies. This event typically has brought in between 20-30 individuals who are excited to play with puppies for a yoga session.

Social and balanced is what we strive for in our puppies as well as trainability and rely on Volhard's Puppy Aptitude test completed at 7 weeks to help us determine the best home for each puppy. We match puppies to homes rather than allow families to pick their puppy. This is done when the puppies are 7 weeks old after evaluations are completed by us, the breeder. Gender preference can be considered, however, not prioritized over the puppy's needs for a home.
